Concert raising funds for victims

THIS Saturday night’s concert and barbecue will be held at the Ma Ma Creek Community Hall.

The concert will feature talented Stephen Henry and Julian Luke, backed by Jazz Aperitif Ensemble.

While the floods have been devastating for individuals, they have also had a huge impact on the revenue of many businesses across the Lockyer Valley, including the Ma Ma Creek Community Shop.

The store is situated on the Gatton-Clifton Road, which was shut for many weeks as a result of landslips at the end of December.

The closure of this road effectively cut all business to the store, and also the Darling Downs Zoo.

The best immediate way to help the community is to attend the concert, which kicks off at 7pm in the Ma Ma Creek Community Hall this Saturday night.

Entry is $5 and the Rotary Club of Gatton and Lockyer will provide a barbecue dinner at $10 each.
