THE Eastern Cobras have been rewarded for their strong crowd support in 2016.

With some of the joint venture club's home games to be played at North Ipswich Reserve, Rugby League Ipswich has made the decision to change this weekend's games against Swifts back to the Cobras' home ground at Redbank Plains.

RLI manager Brendon Lindsay said the change was made after reviewing the Cobras strong numbers at the Redbank Plains Recreational Reserve.

"The Cobras have done really well over the gate,” Lindsay said. "Their numbers have been really strong at the bar and the canteen.

"Things are looking good for the Cobras at home so we decided to move this weekend's game from North Ipswich to their home ground.”

The Ipswich office is looking into making a more permanent decision regarding the Cobras' home games.

The Cobras play Swifts at 5.30pm in Saturday's A Grade game.
