
Coast man allegedly found with loaded gun on Gold Coast
A TWENTY-five-year-old Sippy Downs man has been charged after allegedly being found with a loaded gun on him in Mermaid Beach early Friday morning.
Officers attended a disturbance on Seashell Ave, Mermaid Beach, about 1.30am where police allege they found a loaded hand gun in the man's possession.
A Queensland Police media spokesman said officers had attended a disturbance when they found the man walking from a unit block, allegedly wearing a Nomads Outlaw Motorcycle Gang jacket.

Upon being searched, the spokesman said the man allegedly said he had a loaded gun on him. Police located a gun.
Police alleged the man was believed to be a member of the Nomads Outlaw Motorcycle Gang.
He was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of tainted property and failing to appear.
He was expected to face Southport Magistrates Court today.
