Coast canine delighting the nation with Aussiest trick imaginable
CARGO isn't just a pretty face - this good boy can do the most Aussie trick possible, and it has landed him in the finals to become the posterpup for the RACQ pet search.
The border collie cross golden retriever is two years old, and owner Amanda Kemp told the Daily that she's proud that her pooch has made the top 12 thanks to his smarts.
"We think he's the best pet out there but just assumed there'd be thousands of entries and lots of cute young puppies, so we were quite proud of him that it was his intelligence that got him there," she said.

The other finalists include cats in cute poses and sausage dogs in the bath - but what really sets Cargo apart is his clever and very helpful trick; even if it isn't what new mum Amanda would prefer.
"The video that got him selected as a finalist was him going to the fridge and getting a beer for my husband whilst he watches a hockey game," she said.

"I would have preferred him to teach him to get a nappy for the baby."
But that's not all the Peregian Springs pooch can do.
"He can beg, so sit up on his hindquarters, you can shoot him (with your fingers) and he'll die a very slow death, he'll roll-over, sit, high five, shake a paw," Mrs Kemp said.

The clever canine has already won the right to be featured in the next RACQ Pet Insurance Calendar, getting before the camera yesterday for the 2018 calendar.
The overall winner of the competition will be featured on the calendar's front cover and in RACQ magazine The Road Ahead.
The Kemps will take home a $5000 WISH Gift Card to take home - meaning plenty of treats for their golden boy.

Although he's ahead of the pack in performing cool tricks, Cargo is trailing behind some of the other entrants despite his charm and devilishly handsome looks.
"We only have a few days left so if people could please go out and vote," she said.
"They'll see him soon enough at the park chasing a ball and catching a Frisbee in the air, so get behind a local guy."
