Club will transform for event

BROOKWATER will be making the most of summer on February 20, when the Brookwater Golf and Country Club is transformed into a free celebration for the Brookwater Summer Family Fun Day.

The free community fun day will feature rides for children, live music and entertainment, outdoor activities, Australian wildlife displays, tennis clinics and food and market stalls.

Brookwater deputy managing director Raynuha Sinnathamby said the Summer Family Fun Day, which was originally scheduled for during the 2011 floods, was a community event for the whole family.

“The event is all about getting together with family and friends for a community celebration in the wake of the devastating floods that occurred in and around Brisbane earlier this year,” Ms Sinnathamby said.

“The Brookwater Golf and Country Club will host a festival of rides, live music and entertainment, a ‘Great Aussie Barbecue’, ‘Life. Be in it’ activities and wildlife demonstrations throughout the day.”
