Clifton home destroyed by fire

A HOME in Clifton has been destroyed after a fire tore through the building last night.

Fire crews responded to multiple triple zero calls about 10.30pm to a house on fire in Mason St, Clifton.

A Queensland Fire and Rescue spokesman said when fire crews arrived the building was already well alight.

He said all persons inside the building were accounted for. However the building could not be saved.

It is believed the fire may have started in the ceiling and the front room of the house.

Fire investigators are at the scene this morning trying to determine the cause of the fire.

Police investigators are also attending the scene.
