Monaro Club of Queensland's "Show 'N' Shine" for Marburg

MORE than 300 classic cars will be revving their engines at the Marburg Showgrounds this Sunday for the Monaro Club of Queensland's "Show 'N' Shine" charity cruise.

Cruise day organiser Adrian Peacock said the group will leave from Archerfield BP at 9am and enter the showgrounds at 10am.

"We're doing a cruise out to Marburg for the car owners to show off their pride and joy and for people to come and have a look," he said.

"The club will donate a percentage of profits to Variety children's charity, the club has always supported the charity and this is an opportunity for us to give more.

"We are also looking to help out the local community, the Marburg P&C and the Rosewood Scouts will have stalls and The Girls' Coffee Bar coffee van will also be there."

The club is hoping to have between 300 and 500 classic cars at the event as well as a number of trade stalls and food and drink options.

"It will be a great day for car enthusiasts; the event is open to all cars so the more we can get the better," Mr Peacock said.

"Hopefully it'll bring a lot of people to Marburg from the Brisbane area.

"We'll have a jumping castle and face painting for the kids as well as a mega raffle.

"There'll be something for everyone so we're looking forward to having a successful day.

"It's a really nice drive so come down, bring your car and join in for a great day."

Entry to the showgrounds will open from 10am with tickets costing $5 for spectators.
