We wish you a fluffy Christmas

THE threat of hail kept a few people away but plenty of families turned out to the Top of Town Pet Shop’s first Christmas fun day.

Kids were kept occupied by the animal nursery and enjoyed close up cuddles with calves, lambs, goats, chickens, ducks and geese.

Owner Kerry Sykes said the jumping castle and pony rides were also a huge hit.

“Everyone got photos of their pets with Santa and have been coming in to pick them up,” she said.

“The feedback has been great. It was good to give something back to the community.

“We had lots of help from family and friends and want to say a huge thank you to them.”

Ms Sykes said it was important to remember animal safety on your travels this festive season.

“A pet is also a passenger in the car on holidays, so it’s important to have them restrained in a harness or special pet seat belt,” she said.

“And we’ve got plenty of little gift packs in-store perfect for your pooch. It is important to think of them on Christmas Day too.”
