China business opportunity

IT is not new but the opportunity to do business with our sister city Pengzhou City continues to grow and emerge.

The arrangement has been in place since May, 2012, where the two cities have been actively creating sustainable local platform for investment, trade and business partnerships.

Tomorrow you are invited to attend a Q&A forum following the formalising of this arrangement when Mayor Paul Pisasale and Mayor Du Hu sign a Sister City Agreement. Opportunities exist around export, with emphasis on fruits, processed foods and pharmaceutical products, to China.

Investment and import opportunities exist, especially importing of specific herbal medicines, bed linen and home textiles.

A representative from your business is invited to be part of this historic event and to seek clarification on the opportunities.

It will be held at the Ipswich City Council Chambers, level 2 in the administration building, 45 Roderick Street.

It is a free event from 10.50am for an 11am to noon session. To book in, respond to your email invitation online or call council on 3810 6666 and ask for economic development branch.
