$10,000 up for grabs for a hole-in-one on the fifth

YOU don't have to be the world's best golfer to enjoy a round with your mates during a charity match.

All you need is enthusiasm and a willingness to help your community.

Keen players are encouraged to sign up for the upcoming charity golf day at the Brookwater Golf and Country Club on Wednesday, August 25.

Event organiser Mark Winter said this would be the fifth year the event was held at Brookwater.

"The day has been quite popular with the local community, who like to get together to play a round of golf with friends, while also raising money to help two great local organisations.

"Two lucky recipients from this day include Westside Community Care and C and K Kindergarten in Camira," he said.

One lucky player could also have the chance to score cash of their own.

"The company I work for, Loan Market, has put up $10,000 to be given to one lucky player if they get a hole-in-one on the fifth hole," Mr Winter said.

The cost to register a team is $440, paid at the club prior to the event.

The event begins at 8am and wrap up about 1pm.
