Ipswich gathers for night of nights at business awards

THE city's top business achievers will be named tonight at the Ipswich Business Awards gala event at the Ipswich Civic Centre.

There were more than 150 nominations received this year for the Ipswich Chamber of Commerce and Industry's annual awards.

Finalists were announced last month, showcasing the rich diversity of businesses based throughout the region.

Chamber president Anita Dwyer said this year had seen an extraordinary amount of nominations and subsequent submissions received, a ringing endorsement of Ipswich business and the Chamber that represents it.

"For the businesses involved, it is a great honour to be nominated in such a prestigious awards system that highlights the diversity and depth of talent within the broader Ipswich business community," Ms Dwyer said.

The winners will be announced at the Ipswich Chamber of Commerce & Industry - Ipswich Business Awards at the Ipswich Civic Centre from 6.30pm today.
