Chainsaw flower pot man to stay in the can

A TEENAGER accused of robbing a Flinders View convenience store with a chainsaw while he had a flower pot on his head will remain in custody for at least another two weeks.

Steven Frank Steele, 19, appeared in the Ipswich Magistrates Court from custody yesterday.

The court heard he was now facing a range of new charges.

Police have charged Steele with robbery with actual violence, burglary, common assault, public nuisance, unlawful possession of suspected stolen property, two counts of going armed as to cause fear, and four counts of wilful damage.

He did not apply for bail.

The matter was set for committal callover on March 19.
