Cattle injured in truck rollover near meatworks

A FEW head of cattle will have to be euthanised after the truck they were being transported in rolled over this afternoon.

Emergency services are at the scene of the rollover on Lakes Creek Rd near the Teys Australia meatworks.

 

Reports indicate the driver has received minor injuries and will be transported to hospital by ambulance.

The Bulletin reporter Zhanae Conway-Dodd is at the scene and reports that most of the cattle was alright .

She said there were a few with broken legs, so they will have to be put down.

Traffic can still get through at this stage but one lane is blocked.
