YOUR SAY: Cast congratulated on polished performance
CONGRATULATIONS to the Ipswich Musical Theatre Company (IMTC) for their production of Mary Poppins.
This production would have to be one of the best performances that I have seen for a long time.
It was as professional as any you would see at QPAC or other professional theatres.
I have to congratulate the whole cast, the orchestra and the crew on this production as you did a magnificent job.
However, Lauren Roche in the role of Mary Poppins put on an extremely polished performance.
Her costuming, her voice, her acting all enriched the performance and the two young people playing opposite her, Jessica Parcel and Jayden McGinlay, were fantastic. What a big part for these young people and how professionally they performed.
The dance sequences of this performance fitted in extremely well and added colour to the production.
The costuming overall was fantastic full of colour, twirls and swirls and the set was plainly out of this world.
To say that I enjoyed this production is an understatement.
The production bought tears of joy to my eyes. Thank you IMTC for sharing this production with Ipswich audiences.
On the downside I wonder why there is no editorial in the local papers on these types of productions.
It is a shame that our media don't report on the richness of the creativity of our local performers more. We as a community should be celebrating all of our artists and giving them as much attention as possible.
Thank you IMTC for a magnificent evening of song, spectacle, colour, dance, acting and music. I look forward to your next production.
