Car wash earns $5700

A FUNDRAISING weekend at Riverlink shopping centre has raised more than $5700 for the Ipswich Flood Relief Appeal.

The weekend included plenty of fun for Ipswich families, including face-painting, showbags and a range of prizes.

Entertainment for children included the popular Yogi Bear Show and carnival rides.

IMO Carwash washed 532 cars during the fundraising weekend and, of that total, 448 drivers paid $5 to upgrade their free wash to the works, enabling the business to raise $2240 for the flood appeal.

Riverlink hosted the fundraiser weekend with the aim of giving the community some fun and raising much-needed funds to rebuild Ipswich.
