Car stolen in Raceview driven through fence and into carport

A MAN and a woman have been charged after a car crashed through a fence and into a carport at Inala today.

Initial investigations indicate around 8.30am the vehicle was being driven along Skylark Street when it lost control at the intersection with Sittella Street.

The carport received significant damage however no one was injured.

It will also be alleged the vehicle had been stolen from Blanck Street, Raceview on June 11.

A 19-year-old New South Wales woman has been charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle, a driver licence offence (learner drive unaccompanied) and one count of unlawful use of a vehicle.

A 20-year-old Oxley man has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

Both are expected to appear at the Richlands Magistrates Court tomorrow.
