Unscathed after traffic island crash

A WOMAN has escaped unscathed after crashing into a traffic island at Woodend this morning.

Police said the 68-year-old driver came to grief at the corner of Woodend Rd and Panton St about 7.50am.

The car came to rest on the island and the driver was not trapped.

The cause of the crash is being investigated.
