Car rolls on Warrego Highway

A MOTORIST was taken to hospital yesterday after the vehicle reportedly rolled several times before ending up on its roof between lanes on the Warrego Highway.

Police and Queensland Fire and Rescue Service (QFRS) officers were called to the incident, which occurred near the Mt Crosby exit about 4.50pm yesterday.

Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics were also called to the incident.

The driver was taken to Ipswich Hospital with unknown injuries shortly after emergency services arrived.

One lane of the Warrego Highway was closed for some time as the QFRS made the scene safe.

It is not known if the wet road and conditions were a factor in the crash.

Police have again urged motorists to slow down and drive carefully on the wet roads across the state.
