Car buffs revved up at motor show
THOUSANDS of people flocked to the second annual Autobarn Ipswich Car Buffs Show yesterday.
Show organiser Robyn Coleman said she was over the moon about the success of the show.
"It went exceptionally well," Ms Coleman said.
"I am overwhelmed with the amount of people and cars we had through."
More than 170 classic, ute, hot rod, street, muscle and import automobiles roared onto the Bremer TAFE oval at Bundamba.
All money raised will go to the Woolworths Collingwood Park Fresh Future Kids Hospital Appeal.
"I don't know how much we've raised yet but it would be well into the thousands of dollars," Ms Coleman said.
She paid tribute to the sponsors and volunteers who helped make the event so successful.
"Autobarn Ipswich had a sound system with fusion gear and Speed FM was out there broadcasting live. We had car racing and a jumping castle from Ipswich Toy Hire which the kids loved."
