Business sees the beauty in City Pride

BEAUTY business, Beauty on Belle, is ready to give the CBD a makeover with the help of the City Pride campaign.

Business owner Gabrielle Pisasale has been in the beauty industry in Ipswich for 23 years and has run Beauty on Belle for six years.

The skin and body salon is a City Pride business and Ms Pisasale said she was proud to have operated in the local area for so many years.

"I think the campaign is fantastic, we got involved to get Ipswich shoppers to start shopping locally again and supporting small businesses," she said.

"Working here has its ups and downs, especially with the floods, but it's good to be supported by the community."

Beauty on Belle is moving locations and combining with hair salon Plume Hair to create a one-stop beauty shop in Ipswich City Plaza on Bell St.

"We will be offering the whole hair and beauty experience and will be moving a couple doors down in about four to six weeks," Ms Pisasale said.

"We're hoping to bring more people into the CBD, all of the vacant tenancies in Ipswich City Plaza have been leased so there will be a lot more atmosphere around."

Ms Pisasale said she was proud to be an Ipswich business because her beauty lounge provided top quality service and made customers happy.

"I love bringing out people's best assets," the beautician said.

"It's an instant pick-me-up. People walk out with a smile on their face feeling better than they did when they walked in."

City Pride entry forms can be picked up throughout August at Beauty on Belle which is located in the Ipswich City Mall.
