Buses replace trains at Ipswich

BUSES will replace trains between Ipswich and Rosewood stations for several hours today and tomorrow.

TransLink spokesman Andrew Christie said the Rosewood train line would be closed from 9.30am to 2.30pm on both days for urgent maintenance work.

"Buses will carry passengers between Ipswich and Rosewood, stopping all stations," he said.

This track closure will allow Ipswich City Council workers to safely inspect the structural integrity of Challinor St bridge at Ipswich, which runs over the train line.

Passengers are advised to plan their journey and allow up to 30 minutes additional travel time.

Customers with a disability should phone 3606 5555 or SMS 0428 774 636 for assistance.

Normal train services will run outside these times. TransLink and Queensland Rail appreciate people's patience at this time.
