Busby Marou to headline Somerset Australia Day festival

CHEF Matt Golinski and blues band Busby Marou will be among the big attractions at the 2016 Somerset Australia Day Festival.

This year's event will be held on January 23 at Wivenhoe Dam's Cormorant Bay Recreational Reserve  from 4pm.

"Council is putting on this great event for everyone to come and celebrate what Australia Day means to them and enjoy the great outdoors, the Somerset way, by the lake, with great food, great entertainment and great company," Somerset Mayor Graeme Lehmann said.

Matt Golinski will show off local produce in a 90-minute cooking demo.

Busby Marou will play from 7.30pm and the event will finish with fireworks at 8.30pm.

The festival is free to attend and no tickets are required.
