Burst water main closes Pine Mountain Rd

A BURST water main has caused the temporary closure of Pine Mountain Rd at North Ipswich this morning.

Residents first noticed water gushing out under the road about 12.30am this morning.

Queensland Urban Utilities was called in and a section of the road, from Liverpool St to McLean St, was closed as the damage was assessed.

The road remains closed, with diversions in place, as crews work to repair the water main.

There has been no loss of water supply to residents and businesses in the area.

The road is expected to be reopened later today.
