Groom charged after buck’s night brain snap

A RAINBOW Beach buck's night turned sour when the groom-to-be was charged with wilful damage after bashing through a door.

Gympie Magistrates Court heard Christopher Ngarimu Paul Lowe, 42, of Kippa Ring, became aggressive when he was asked to leave the Rainbow Beach Sport and Recreation Club on May 14.

He tried to assault the licensee, but friends ushered him to the door which he forcefully rammed, it heard.

Lowe was put on four months good behaviour with a $600 recognisance and ordered to pay $420 restitution after pleading guilty.
