Brothers, Swifts in top of the table tussle

TO THE winner will go the spoils.

Early season premiership favouritism goes on the line tomorrow, when first-placed Swifts host second-placed Brothers at Purga.

Both sides are coming off emphatic victories last time out, and will be keen to knock their rivals down a peg.

Swifts were kept in check by West End for 60 minutes in their previous match, before finding another gear to run away 36-point victors.

After consecutive narrow defeats had some questioning their credentials, Brothers returned to form against Goodna.

The Brethren were even more impressive on their home patch, accounting for the reigning premiers 44-28 last Sunday.

Swifts have stumbled just once this season, and boast not only the best offensive record (170 points for) but also a competition-best 74 points against.

Brothers are second (166 points) and third (118 points) in those categories respectively.

RLI Round 7: Tomorrow (3pm) - Brothers Ipswich v Swifts Bluebirds at Purga.
