22-year-old taken to hospital after highway crash

UPDATE: The scene of a single-vehicle crash at Beerburrum has been cleared and traffic flow back to normal.

EARLIER: Brisbane-bound traffic is queuing on the Bruce Hwy at Beerburrum as emergency services clear the scene of a single vehicle crash.

Crews were called to the scene, in the southbound lanes of the highway about 2km south of the intersection of Johnston Rd, at 10.20pm.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said a 22-year-old man was taken from the scene to Caboolture Hospital with facial swelling.
