COWBOY David Mason didn't stay on his bull as long as he had hoped but he still had a blast at the PBR Saturday night.

"We only get one ride and I guess I just didn't stay on long enough," David said.

The Cowboy made the trip from the Hunter Valley in NSW and said the atmosphere on Saturday night was amazing.

"It was a good turnout and you can really hear the crowd screaming when you're on the bull," he said.

David, who's been riding since he was eight years old, took in two other bull riding shows in the region this weekend and said he'll be back for more. "We did three shows this weekend, it doesn't really wear us out because we do it quite regularly, it's just another weekend for us," David said.

"When you've been on a bull a few times, you get used to it, like riding a push bike."
