Brekky Wrap: The best way to kickstart your day
WELCOME to Tuesday -- it's a long way to the weekend but if you can conquer Monday then you can sure as hell conquer today.
We're starting off with something a little bit romantic, with some research into what makes a happy marriage.
It's your Brekky Wrap.
Want a happy marriage? Go for brains not blondes
IF HE knows what's good for him, the modern gentleman will prefer brains, not blondes, according to a study of marriage.
In what may be interpreted as a victory for feminism and a sign that men now stand even less chance of winning an argument with their wives, researchers have discovered that marriages today have the best prospects of survival when partners have the same level of education.
The generation of husbands who married in the early 1990s, the researchers found, was also the first to be happy with wives who were as smart as or smarter than them.
Woman finds 'big dirty maggot' in Maccas meal
GLADSTONE woman Georgia McDonald wasn't loving it when, after taking two bites, she found a "big dirty maggot" moving around within her McDonald's chicken aioli wrap on Sunday.
She said the thought of getting that close to having a maggot in her mouth made her physically ill.
"It revolted me to the point that I will never eat at any McDonald's restaurant ever again," she said.
DUE to popular demand, a New Zealand bar has changed its name back to Poof, only months after complaints led its owner to drop the title.
The bar, which opened last year, changed its name to Pop in April, after owner Wayne Clark said he had received complaints - mainly from older members of the gay community - over the derogatory nature of the word "poof".
But the Ponsonby bar has now returned to its original name, with website GayNZ.com reporting "overwhelming" feedback in favour of the change.

She was arrested in the city of Sasebo in Nagasaki Prefecture, south-west Japan on Sunday.
