UPDATE: 47-year-old woman's death was "non-suspicious"
POLICE are continuing to finalise their investigations into the death of a 47-year-old woman in South Mackay, on Monday.
Around 6.48am police attended an address on Sophia Street.
Upon arrival, officers located a deceased woman inside the residence.
A crime scene was established as investigators worked to determine the cause of death.
A post mortem examination was completed today which determined that the death was non-suspicious.
Police will now prepare a report for the Coroner.

THE circumstances around the death of a woman at a South Mackay unit are still not known, police have said.
The woman was found deceased at her unit this morning.
Speaking at a press conference at 2pm Monday, acting detective senior sergeant Paul Arnold said detectives were still conducting their inquiries and would not say if the death was suspicious or if there were any suspects.
He did not release the age of the woman and said the cause of death was also unknown. Police will continue to investigate.

Around 6.48am police were advised of a deceased woman located at an address in Sophia St.
A crime scene has been declared as investigations into the woman's "sudden death" continues.
THERE are six police units at the Sophia St address where a woman has been found dead this morning.
This includes general duty officers, detectives and forensic investigators.
Police are speaking with neighbours and anyone who was in the area last night.
A neighbour told the Daily Mercury he heard crashing and fighting last night.
He said police had been called on Sunday.
"Police interviewed them and left," he said.
"They were laughing when police left, it sounded like they (the people inside the unit) were joking."
However, he said later in the night he was kept awake.
"I could hear crashing like stuff was being thrown," he said.
POLICE are current investigating the death of a woman in South Mackay.
Just before 7am today police were called to a Sophie St address where a woman has been found dead.
A Queensland Police Media spokesperson said detectives were currently at the unit and were making enquiries with neighbours.
