UPDATE: A blue car that was photographed and videoed floating in the Brisbane River near the Goodna boat ramp yesterday has been retrieved.

A video of the car being towed out of the water last night has emerged and the QT has published it online.

The circumstances surrounding how the vehicle got there, who owned it and where it has gone remains a mystery.

Police Media said the job was not logged on their system.

EARLIER: Goodna residents have awoken this morning to discover a partially submerged car in the Brisbane River at the Goodna boat ramp.

The QT received a report earlier this morning that a car was in the water near the mouth of Woogaroo Creek.

A photograph shows the car in the river. At this stage the circumstances surrounding how the vehicle got there or whether there was anyone in the car are not known .

The QT has put a call in to Police Media and is awaiting a response.
