Boy dies after being hit by ute near Brisbane

A YOUNG boy has died after they were hit by a ute on a busy southeast Queensland road this afternoon.

The incident occurred about 3.26pm in Springfield Central on Sinnathamby Boulevard.

The Forensic Crash Unit is at the scene.

The police have closed the road near the David Henry Way intersection and are expecting the road to be closed for some time.
