Jonathan Emms for Blair

BLAIR: Jonathan Emms, Independent

I'M Jonathan Emms, your Independent Candidate for Blair. I'm a local guy and my vision is simply for a better Blair.

I'm ready to take on the challenge and stand up for the community.

I'm committed to providing sensible long-term strategies and securing the future for all local workers.

I can deliver the better choice of representation as I represent you, not one of the parties.

Moving forward we need a powerful local economy, investment in health and better educational opportunities.

I will attack the lack of political accountability and transparency.

I am seeking to improve political donation laws and cutting the excessive spending on parliamentarian entitlements and pensions.

I support food security, the local farmers and agricultural industries.

I will fight for greater investment in our future nation builders by improving all levels of education.

I support a booming local economy by fighting for the much needed local infrastructure projects:

  • Ipswich Motorway - Darra to Rocklea
  • Ipswich-Springfield Rail Connection
  • Western Ipswich Bypass
  • Norman Street Bridge
  • Faster NBN to local businesses

I support a revised fuel credit system that is fair, saves taxpayer dollars and supports the environment.

I will address housing affordability by taking a balanced approach to negative gearing (capping not scrapping), CGT and foreign ownership.

I support our pensioners and veterans.

I firmly believe we will all do better if you stand with me.

Why vote for a party when you can vote for your own voice?

Do your part by raising your voice and spreading the word.

- Jonathan Emms
