Big day ahead for the Ekka

TODAY'S iconic Brisbane show day holiday - People's Day - is set to attract bumper crowds.

Ekka's day of days is shaping up to be a crowd-pleaser with an amazing array of entertainment on offer including the historic Grand Parade and a visit from Britain's funniest movie stars, the cast of the Inbetweeners 2.

After five days of show the Ekka has attracted more than 200,000 people through the gates who have come to enjoy Ekka's distinct mix of animals, competitions, rides and entertainment.

Judging highlights today include:

• Horses - Equestrienne from 2pm (Energex Community Arena)

• Canine from 9am - don't miss the puppies which will be judged first.

• Goats - Angora from 9am in the Stock Pavilion Ring.

• Woodchop from 9am in Woodchop Arena.

• Farriers and Blacksmiths from 9am, Competition Park.
