Bendigo Bank meeting for Toogoolawah residents

AFTER weeks of meetings, Bendigo Bank staff are ready to meet with farmers from Toogoolawah.

The Toogoolawah Bendigo Bank Steering Committee has arranged a presentation on Wednesday night (July 6) at the Toogoolawah Showgrounds.

A large number of individuals and companies can be accommodated at the meeting, and senior representatives of Bendigo Bank will be on hand to answer questions along with the opportunity to sign pledges of support.

Committee Chairman Bill Roughan said the number of people making pledges was increasing rapidly as was the amount of investment in the bank.

"Whilst it may seem that the prospect of Toogoolawah achieving its own community branch is getting much closer, the clock is ticking and the community needs to get moving if it wants to have its own bank established in time to meet the town's needs," Mr Roughan said.
