Babysitter burned with ice pipe and forced to drink bleach

TWO Adelaide couples kidnapped and tortured a teenage babysitter whom they cut, burned with an ice pipe and forced to drink bleach and eat dog food while she begged for her life.

According to a special report from the Advertiser, the terrified girl was tortured for 18 hours, made to smoke ice and told she would be raped, murdered and her body dumped in the forest.

They tied the girl up with a dog leash, hacked off her hair and imprisoned her in a closet. They used knuckledusters, screwdrivers and car jumper leads to "inflict extreme pain, suffering and instil terror".

The horrifying details of the 19-year-old's ordeal, which took place inside a suburban Adelaide home, were revealed during a hearing in the South Australian District Court.

The court heard that the four sadistic parents filmed the torture on mobile phones and that children were present at the house in the Munno Para West, 40km north of Adelaide's CBD.

The perpetrators, all aged in their twenties, are facing 25 years in jail after admitting to their roles in the crime. They attacked the girl as revenge for "dobbing" their friend in for car theft.
