CAIDEN Jay Laegel was born to proud parents Alisha and Chris on May 11 at 12.59am.

The birth wasn't without problems though, with Alisha going into labour several days earlier on May 4. Caiden weighed 6lb 11oz (3033.4 grams) when he was born.

The new mum said she resorted to walking up and down the halls to try and get things moving.

Caiden was eventually born via emergency caesarean and mum and dad said his two sisters were excited to welcome him into the family.

After looking for baby names on the Huggies website, Alisha and Chris decided on Caiden, after changing the spelling to make it unique.

They said Caiden was already very smiley and observant in his first few days.
