Author offers glimpse into Death series

AS PART of next month's Seniors Week celebrations in Ipswich, author Laurie Smith will be the guest author at the Ipswich Central Library.

Mr Smith will be the next featured author in the libraries' Paper Tales series and will discuss his books in a free session from 10.30am on August 19 in the Barry Jones Auditorium in the Ipswich Central Library building.

His Death series, written under the name LW Smith, pulls the reader into the world of crime, corruption and underbelly action.

Set mainly in Queensland, the novels are loosely based on Mr Smith's life of working in the military, prisons, police and security. Book sales and signings will be available on the day.

Bookings are essential - call the library on 3810 6815 or visit library.ipswich.qld.gov.au.
