Attempted robbery at Brassall

POLICE are searching for a man who tried to rob a convenience store on Hunter Street at Brassall last night.

A man approached the counter about 1am and threatened staff with a knife.

The man demanded money but left empty handed after the attendant refused.

The man is described as being 18-20 years old, 178cm tall, medium build and wearing black shorts and black jumper with a hood.

He was last seen on foot headed towards Lyons Street.
