Man faces assault charge over incident at Golden Beach

A 39-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with unlawful wounding and assault following an incident at Golden Beach overnight.

Initial information suggests a dispute took place between two men at an address on The Esplanade about 12.30am.

A 46-year-old man was allegedly punched and stabbed in the arm during the incident.

A 37-year-old woman received a minor injury to her hand when attempting to intervene during the altercation. The man was transported to the Nambour Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The man is due to appear before the Caloundra Magistrates Court on December 6.

Police investigations are continuing.
