Arts dinners promote Scenic Rim appeal

SCENIC Rim's popular arts dinners are on the move this month.

Boonah, Harrisville and Canungra will host gatherings focused on council's Vibrant and Active Towns and Villages Project.

Last month, the Scenic Rim Council announced $1 million of funding would be devoted to projects that enhanced the character and appeal of the Scenic Rim's population centres during 2014/15.

"The Scenic Rim is home to an array of communities, each of which has a distinct personality and history. This project is about creating a sense place in our towns and villages which respects and highlights their heritage and character," Mayor John Brent said.

The Arts Dinners are open to everyone and will be held at the following venues:

Boonah - Tuesday, August 26 from 6pm-9pm at Boonah Cultural Centre. Harrisville - Wednesday, August 27 from 6pm-9pm at Harrisville School of Arts. Canungra - Thursday, August 28 from 6pm-9pm at Canungra School of Arts.
