Armed robber leaves Redbank Plains bakery empty handed

A MAN armed with a knife attempted to hold up a bakery in Redbank Plains this morninng.

Just before 6am, a man entered the Redbank Plains business armed with a knife.

He threatened the male staff member and demanded he hand over money, but the staff member did not comply.

The man fled the scene empty-handed in a red station wagon with another unknown male.

They were last seen driving towards Springfield.

The attempted robber is described as Caucasian in appearance, between 170 and 180cm tall and of a proportionate build.

He was wearing a blue hooded jumper and dark tracksuit pants.
