Apply for Queensland Week sponsorship

COMMUNITY groups are being encouraged to participate in celebrating our state's birthday next year through the 2016 Queensland Week Sponsorship Program.

Member for Ipswich West Jim Madden said the program encouraged everyone to celebrate in a way that reflected their culture, heritage and aspirations.

"Each year, Queenslanders mark our state's birthday with events unique to their community," Mr Madden said.

"Sponsorship funding of up to $10 000 is available for events held to celebrate Queensland Week next year between June 4 and June 12."
