CONTROVERSIAL rugby league identity Wendell Sailor strutted his stuff at Ipswich's Briggs Road Sports Complex on Saturday and drew a crowd of almost 2000 spectators.

The 33-year-old dual international made his Queensland Cup debut for Burleigh.

He struggled early before playing a key role in the Bears' remarkable 36-22 upset victory over the Jets.

Sailor was mobbed by fans before and after the match, posing for many photos and signing countless autographs.
