Local lad lands first movie role
LIGHTS, camera, action.
One of Ipswich's most in-demand eight-year-olds is going to feature in an upcoming film being shot at Warner Brothers on the Gold Coast.
Nathaniel Seip has shot to popularity among casting agents since the Yamanto resident won the semi-finals of the 2006 Tamblyn Young Model Discovery Quest.
Although unsuccessful in the grand final of the competition, Tamblyn discovered the boy last year who has since travelled to the Gold Coast and Toowoomba doing fashion parades.
His first film and first speaking role in the movie Two Days and Six Months will begin filming in November.
Further details on the movie are unconfirmed at this stage.
But for Nathaniel, there is more to life than red carpets and catwalks.
It comes in the form of a round ball.
"I want to be a famous soccer player," the young blond said confidently.
"I'd like to play for Manchester United, or Australia.
"I just love the game and I think I am better at soccer than modelling.
"Plus my dad is my coach."
Nathaniel's mum Bonnie said she thought the modelling experience was a great opportunity for her son.
"It just gives him extra confidence being in front of people, and more importantly he has made so many new friends," Mrs Seip said.
Nathaniel is now auditioning for commercials as well.
Nathaniel said if he could star with anyone in a movie, he would choose David Beckham.
"I really like him, because he is such a great soccer player, and he is a model as well," Nathaniel said.
"That is what I would like to be."
