Driver cut from vehicle during storm

A MAN had to be cut from his four-wheel-drive after it and a tow truck collided yesterday. The man and his female passenger were transported to Ipswich Hospital after the crash at the bend on Lobb Street, West Ipswich yesterday afternoon. Heavy rain added to the chaos with traffic diverted in both directions. Two Queensland Fire and Rescue Service units attended the crash which happened about 1.50pm. "A lady and man were in the 4WD and the man had to be cut out with cutting gear," the spokeswoman said. "The tow truck driver was fine." The spokeswoman said police were investigating the cause of the accident.
