Anti-rally letter is anti-democracy
A COMMENT on Cate Carter's letter (July 29, 2017) If Ipswich Ratepayers Association don't feel happy about the state of Ipswich City Council what's wrong with a rally to air their complaints. It's the ideal time, perhaps we need a council purge. The previous mayor had 86 percent of Ipswich residents eating out of his hand & look how that's turned out. There is an old saying "b-s baffles brains".
I remember the Courier Mail trying to access information about Ipswich City Properties & the council spent a lot of money preventing this.
Why was that?
Rallies have removed some of the most evil regimes in the world. Don't underestimate people power, Cate. Perhaps you need to reassess your attitude. Don't change the present status quo? The Ipswich Rates Association are within their rights to have a rally if they so desire.
The last paragraph of your letter makes no sense to me, Cate.
Very anti-democracy. I'll see you at the rally Cate!
