Another learner loses licence

A LEARNER driver has lost his licence because he got behind the wheel after a few drinks.

Ipswich Magistrates Court heard Todd Michael Muscat, 23, was breathalysed on May 21 – recording 0.050.

As a learner he must have an alcohol reading of zero when driving.

Muscat pleaded guilty to drink driving, driving without a learner plate fitted and driving unaccompanied.

He was fined $300 and disqualified for three months.

Muscat told police he had consumed three drinks before decided to drive to "purchase more alcohol for himself and his friends".
