Anna Faris’ hilarious public return after Pratt split

JUST one month after announcing her split from action star husband Chris Pratt, Anna Faris has made a glamorous - and hilarious - public return.

The Mom star, 40, made a lighthearted appearance at the 69th Emmy Awards on Monday alongside her sitcom co-star Allison Janney.

Presenting the award for best variety series, Janney explained to the audience: "A memorable variety series needs to be able to deliver comedy at a rapid pace it also requires impeccable ..."

That's when Faris, playing up to her trademark dopey schtick, interrupted.

Janney gracefully continued, praising the skill of sketch show performers.

"There's an undeniable chemistry between the cast so much so that they possess the unique ability to ..." Janney said, looking at Faris, who had missed her cue to pick up the rest of the line.

Faris, who looked glamorous in a purple Marc Jacobs gown, stared blankly at the crowd before reading the teleprompter: "Finish each other's sentences!"

Faris' appearance at the awards in Los Angeles is her first red carpet outing since announcing her split from Pratt on August 6.
