Angry man attacks police car

AN "ANGRY" man drove into a Goodna police station and smashed a police vehicle window with a metal jack.

Biar Kuch Chol, 22, drove his car into the parking lot on February 25 and parked next to a parked police vehicle. About 20 minutes later officers heard a loud smashing noise and saw Chol using the metal jack to repeatedly strike the window. As glass shattered to the ground, officers approached Chol, he was arrested and became compliant.

Chol pleaded guilty at Ipswich Magistrates Court yesterday to wilfully damaging police property. Chol's defence said he was "frustrated and angry and reacted inappropriately".

The court was not told exactly what Chol was angry about. He was released on a $500, six-month good behaviour bond and ordered to pay $598 restitution to police.
