And the best place for a pub meal in Ipswich is ...

THE Walloon Saloon, Strand Hotel, Yamanto Tavern or The Other Supper Club ... You voted for them all and more in our Facebook poll asking readers where was the best place for a pub meal in Ipswich.

And the winner ... THE STRAND HOTEL!

The North Ipswich venue was a favourite with our likers, and especially Susan McKinnon, who added: "Their $10 steak is brilliant!"

But it was a close contest with The Strand beating out the likes of The Walloon Saloon, Climax at City View Hotel and The Other Supper Club at West Ipswich by just one vote.

There was also a three-way tie for fifth place with Stumps Hotel, Racehorse Hotel, Yamanto Tavern and Brothers also proving popular with readers.
